Expert Divorce Services that Avoid Court Visits and Lawyers. You in?

Updated: Jun 17

When going through the difficult process of divorce, everyone you know has an opinion. Should you go to court? What lawyer? Who will get the pets? Should you seek spousal support? It is difficult to make logical decision when you feel like your life is falling apart. We get it.

Having a knowledgeable and experienced person to guide you through the complex divorce process can make all the difference. That is why so many people make the decision to hire a lawyer during divorce. However, not all couples need to spend the money to hire a lawyer or the time in litigation. There are other options.

One of those options is mediation. Most think of mediation as simply dividing everything 50/50 but it doesn't have to be just that. Kimberly Farina and her team have created a unique process to help self represented litigants complete their divorce without stepping into a courtroom.

We offer professional and expert mediation services for divorce. As a contract professor with years of experience in family law mediation, Kim and her team work with the couple to deal with property division, spousal support, parenting plans and child support. We draft a Marital Settlement Agreement for the couple upon completion of the negotiation and mediation process.

Some of our past agreements that are not judgements include unique solutions such as a custody and visitation arrangement for a pet pig. We can coordinate payments of certain reoccurring bills in lieu of support payments. We can help one partner figure out a path to buy out the other so they can keep the family home and not sell it. We can set up a child fund account that both parents contribute toward instead of traditional child support payments.

If you are currently facing a divorce, know that you have options. Divorce doesn't break your family, the way you handle the divorce does. Some folks need to hire expensive lawyers and go to court, but others don't. Some choose to represent themselves and file all documents on their own, but that can be time consuming and frustrating. For many couples, they are aware of mediation but think that just means split everything 50/50 but that isn't our process.

Kim developed a method where a team of mediators works with the divorcing parties to work through all their legal issues for a flat fee. Once all issues have been settled, we draft a Marital Settlement Agreement to conclude the first part. The couple then has the peace of mind knowing they have contractual protection while the dissolution process is completed. Couples can choose to do the legal documents on their own or hire a legal document preparer through our office. Please note: We do NOT offer legal representation at this time.

Divorce is awful but if you let us help you we can simplify the process, help you move forward, save you time and money, and hopefully come to an agreement that allows both parties to move forward to their next chapter of life,

Look forward to helping you through this tough time.

If you are interested in getting started, email or book an initial consultation with Kim and her team to see if your family is the right fit for our services.
